IJUMAA TAREHE 21 MEI 2021, ASUBUHI

Isaya 64:1-2

1 Laiti ungepasua mbingu, na kushuka, ili milima iteteme mbele zako;
2 kama vile moto uchomapo vichaka, na moto uchemshapo maji; ili kuwajulisha adui zako jina lako, mataifa wakatetemeke mbele zako!

Kungojea ahadi ya Baba;

Siku njema.

FRIDAY 21ST MAY 2021, MORNING

Isaiah 64:1-2 [NIV]

1 Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down,
    that the mountains would tremble before you!
As when fire sets twigs ablaze
    and causes water to boil,
come down to make your name known to your enemies
    and cause the nations to quake before you!

Isaiah proclaimed the good news of redemption to the Nation of God through the Holy Spirit (chapter 61). He later brings proof of salvation to God's Nation (chapter 62)

God's vengeance is announced (63: 1-6) and then God's mercy is remembered (63: 6-14)

From chapter 63 verse 15 to the lesson we read, it is a prayer of repentance after God's retribution for those who have wronged him. The word we read shows the greatness of God the creator, the saviour, who forgives sins.

This morning we are reminded to live a life of salvation as we are called, knowing that the final judgment exists. We should repent, or we will perish.
