“ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel” Matthew 2:6
On behalf of Chaplain Rev Charles Mzinga and the Elder’s board of Azania Front Cathedral I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a blessed New year 2019.
Jesus Christ is born Halleluyah! We thank God for His great gift to us. God has given us the gift of Jesus Christ our Savior. We remember how Jesus was born over 2000 years ago in Israel in the small town of Bethlehem near the city of Jerusalem.
The Words above were written by the Apostle Matthew in his Gospel. They are a quotation from the prophet Micah. Micah prophesied about a ruler who would be born in Bethlehem.
Wise Man came from the East following a special star. They were looking for a new King so they went to inquire at King Herod’s palace. They asked King Herod “ Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews?” King Herod called the Chief Priests and teachers of the law and asked them where the Messiah was to be born. They replied by quoting from the Prophet Micah that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem,
We thank God that Jesus Christ is God’s son who came to earth to save us. Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies that were written about Him. Jesus came to earth born as a Jew but He came for all people in world of every tribe and tongue and nation. (Pastor P. Chuwa)
