JUMANNE TAREHE 26OKTOBA 2021, ASUBUHI
2 Timotheo 1:3-7
3 Namshukuru Mungu, nimwabuduye kwa dhamiri safi tangu zamani za wazee wangu, kama vile nikukumbukavyo wewe daima, katika kuomba kwangu usiku na mchana.
4 Nami natamani sana kukuona, nikiyakumbuka machozi yako, ili nijae furaha;
5 nikiikumbuka imani uliyo nayo isiyo na unafiki, ambayo ilikaa kwanza katika bibi yako Loisi, na katika mama yako Eunike, nami nasadiki wewe nawe unayo.
6 Kwa sababu hiyo nakukumbusha, uichochee karama ya Mungu, iliyo ndani yako kwa kuwekewa mikono yangu.
7 Maana Mungu hakutupa roho ya woga, bali ya nguvu na ya upendo na ya moyo wa kiasi.
Tukaze mwendo katika Yesu Kristo;
Mtume Paulo katika salamu kwa Timotheo anamkumbusha kumwabudu BWANA kwa dhamiri safi, akiwa na imani isiyo na unafiki. Anamkumbusha kuichochea karama ya Mungu pasipo woga, kwa nguvu ya upendo na moyo wa kiasi.
Ujumbe wa Mtume Paulo kwetu ni kuendelea kumwabudu Mungu katika Roho, tukimcha na kumfuata kwa usahihi wake. Tusiache kumshuhudia kwa wengine kama Paulo anavyoandika;
2 Timotheo 1:8
8 Basi usiuonee haya ushuhuda wa Bwana wetu, wala usinionee haya mimi mfungwa wake, bali uvumilie mabaya pamoja nami kwa ajili ya Injili, kwa kadiri ya nguvu ya Mungu;
Kutoonea aibu ushuhuda wa Bwana Yesu ni kubaki katika njia ya kweli, ndipo kazi za Mungu zitadhirika kwetu na neno lake kuhubiriwa kote. Tunapokaza mwendo katika Yesu, tuhakikishe mioyo yetu ni safi, katika kuiendea taji ya uzima. Siku njema.

2 Timothy 1:3-7
Thanksgiving
3 I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
Appeal for Loyalty to Paul and the Gospel
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Let us press on in Jesus Christ;
The apostle Paul, in his greetings to Timothy, reminds him to worship the Lord with a clear conscience, with unfeigned faith. He reminds him to fearlessly stir up the gift of God, with the power of love and a modest heart.
The Apostle Paul's message to us is to continue to worship God in the Spirit, fearing Him and following Him in His righteousness. Let us not stop witnessing to others as Paul writes;
2 Timothy 1: 8
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
Not to be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord Jesus is to remain in the way of truth, then the works of God will be done for us and His word will be preached everywhere. As we press on in Jesus, let us make sure our hearts are pure, in the pursuit of the crown of life.
