1Timothy 6:3-5 New International Version (NIV)
3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5 and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
One of the ways to expose false teachings is to be committed to sound doctrine; what 1 Timothy 6:3 as the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have to become students of the Word and faithful in prayer; and through those efforts our hearts will be nurtured and protected and growing; and as a result others will be lead to Jesus Christ through our testimonies.

1TIMOTHEO 6:3-5
3 Mtu awaye yote akifundisha elimu nyingine, wala hayakubali maneno yenye uzima ya Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo, wala mafundisho yapatanayo na utauwa,
4 amejivuna; wala hafahamu neno lo lote; bali ana wazimu wa kuwazia habari za maswali, na mashindano ya maneno, ambayo katika hayo hutoka husuda, na ugomvi, na matukano, na shuku mbaya;
5 na majadiliano ya watu walioharibika akili zao, walioikosa kweli, huku wakidhani ya kuwa utauwa ni njia ya kupata faida.
Njia mojawapo ya kudhihirisha mafundisho ya uongo ni kusimama katika mafundisho ya kweli; kama inavyoelezwa katika 1Timotheo 6:3, kuwa ni mafundisho sahihi ya Bwana Yesu Kristo.
Tunapaswa kuwa wanafunzi wa neno na waaminifu katika kuomba; na kupitia juhudi hizo mioyo yetu itatunzwa na kulindwa na kukua; na matokeo yake ni kuwa wengine watamjua Yesu Kristo kupitia shuhuda zetu.
