1 Petro 2:18-23

22 Yeye hakutenda dhambi, wala hila haikuonekana kinywani mwake.
23 Yeye alipotukanwa, hakurudisha matukano; alipoteswa, hakuogofya; bali alijikabidhi kwake yeye ahukumuye kwa haki.

Mwenendo wenu uwe na hekima;

Nakutakia siku njema.

1 Peter 2:18-23

18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. 19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

22 “He committed no sin,
    and no deceit was found in his mouth.”[a]

23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

Footnotes

  1. 1 Peter 2:22 Isaiah 53:9

Be wise in your behavior;

Peter writes admonishing us to be obedient among ourselves. He urges us to respect each other, great and small, leader and servant, and in any other case.

Peter gives the example of the Lord Jesus who despite great suffering endured, He never sinned! He humbled himself without retaliation!

In that case, we are called to be obedient, patient, God-fearing to the end. In whatever situation we find ourselves, let us submit to the one who judges justly, and he will give us the wisdom that will lead us in all the difficult paths to our end.

I wish you a good day.
