1WAFALME 6:11-13
11 Neno la Bwana likamjia Sulemani, kusema,
12 Katika habari ya nyumba hii unayoijenga, kama ukienda katika sheria zangu, na kuzifanya hukumu zangu, na kuzishika amri zangu zote na kwenda katika hizo; ndipo nitakapolithibitisha neno langu kwako, nililomwambia Daudi baba yako.
13 Nami nitakaa katikati ya wana wa Israeli, wala sitawaacha watu wangu Israeli.
Ukisoma kuanzia mwanzo wa mlango huu utaona somo la leo linatoka katika kipindi ambacho mfalme Suleiman na wana wa Israel walikuwa wakijemjengea Bwana Hekalu. Katika mistari hapo juu, Bwana anaweka ahadi na Mfalme Suleiman kuwa katika Hekalu analojenga, akienda katika sharia zake, na kushika amri zake, ndipo atadhibitisha neon na ahadi zake kwa wana wa Israeli na kukaa kwao.
Kwetu sisi leo, neno la Mungu ni lile lile siku zote, halibadiliki. Katika mahekalu tunayomjengea Mungu tunapaswa kufuata maagizo ya Mungu kwa mfalme Suleiman, ndipo tutakapovuna ahadi hizo pia. Mungu atusaidie kuishi katika neno lake.
SATURDAY 26TH JUNE 2021, MORNING
1KINGS 6:11-13
11 The word of the Lord came to Solomon: 12 “As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, observe my laws and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father. 13 And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel.”
If you read from the beginning of this chapter you will see that today's lesson comes from the time when King Solomon and the children of Israel were building the Temple for the Lord. In the verses above, the Lord makes a promise to King Solomon that in the Temple he is building, to walk in his laws, and to keep his commandments, then he will confirm his word and promises to the children of Israel and dwell with them.
For us today, the word of God is always the same, unchanging. In the temples we are building for God we must follow God's instructions to King Solomon, and then we will reap those promises as well. May God help us to live in His word.
