TUESDAY 6TH APRIL 2021 MORNING JOHN 11:17-27
John 11:17-27 New International Version (NIV)
17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Now Bethany was less than two miles[b] from Jerusalem, 19 and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. 20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.
21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Prolonged suffering in our lives does not negate God’s love for you. In our lives, just because we are going through suffering do not mean that God hates you or is even punishing you. Somehow God is using your life to show His love and using the suffering for good.
Do you believe that God can be good even if life is not so good right now? May God give us ability to know more about Him, may God give us more of His love; and use us to bring Him glory.

17 Basi Yesu alipofika, alimkuta amekwisha kuwamo kaburini yapata siku nne.
18 Na Bethania ilikuwa karibu na Yerusalemu, kadiri ya maili mbili hivi;
19 na watu wengi katika Wayahudi walikuwa wamekuja kwa Martha na Mariamu, ili kuwafariji kwa habari ya ndugu yao.
20 Basi Martha aliposikia kwamba Yesu anakuja, alikwenda kumlaki; na Mariamu alikuwa akikaa nyumbani.
21 Basi Martha akamwambia Yesu, Bwana, kama ungalikuwapo hapa, ndugu yangu hangalikufa.
22 Lakini hata sasa najua ya kuwa yo yote utakayomwomba Mungu, Mungu atakupa.
23 Yesu akamwambia, Ndugu yako atafufuka.
24 Martha akamwambia, Najua ya kuwa atafufuka katika ufufuo siku ya mwisho.
25 Yesu akamwambia, Mimi ndimi huo ufufuo, na uzima. Yeye aniaminiye mimi, ajapokufa, atakuwa anaishi;
26 naye kila aishiye na kuniamini hatakufa kabisa hata milele. Je! Unayasadiki hayo?
27 Akamwambia, Naam, Bwana, mimi nimesadiki ya kwamba wewe ndiwe Kristo, Mwana wa Mungu, yule ajaye ulimwenguni.
Mateso ya muda mrefu katika maisha yetu hayamaanishi kuwa upendo wa Mungu umetoweka kwetu, pengine kwa sababu tunapitia magumu haimaanishi kuwa Mungu anatuchukia au kwamba anatuadhibu.
Wakati mwingine Mungu anatumia maisha yako kuonyesha upendo wake na kutumia mateso tunayopitia kuonyesha wema wake.
Je, unasadiki kwamba Mungu ni mwema kwako hata ikiwa maisha unayopitia sasa siyo mazuri? Tumwombe Mungu atupe uwezo wa kumjua zaidi, na Mungu atujaze zaidi na pendo lake; na atutumie kumrudishia yeye utukufu.
