Psalm 145:10-21 New International Version (NIV)
10 All your works praise you, Lord;
your faithful people extol you.
11 They tell of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might,
12 so that all people may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.[a]
14 The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
20 The Lord watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature praise his holy name
for ever and ever.

44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

Living as Those Made Alive in Christ
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Jesus Christ has risen from the dead. As His disciples we share His risen life. Let us consciously, day by day, walk with Christ. Let us die to sin and selfishness. Let us seek to follow and obey Christ always so that our thoughts, words and actions are pleasing to God. May the power which raised Jesus from the dead enable us to overcome all hurdles and problems in our lives.

10 Ee Bwana, kazi zako zote zitakushukuru, Na wacha Mungu wako watakuhimidi.
11 Wataunena utukufu wa ufalme wako, Na kuuhadithia uweza wako.
12 Ili kuwajulisha watu matendo yake makuu, Na utukufu wa fahari ya ufalme wake.
13 Ufalme wako ni ufalme wa zamani zote, Na mamlaka yako ni ya vizazi vyote.
14 Bwana huwategemeza wote waangukao, Huwainua wote walioinama chini.
15 Macho ya watu wote yakuelekea Wewe, Nawe huwapa chakula chao wakati wake.
16 Waufumbua mkono wako, Wakishibisha kila kilicho hai matakwa yake.
17 Bwana ni mwenye haki katika njia zake zote, Na mwenye fadhili juu ya kazi zake zote.
18 Bwana yu karibu na wote wamwitao, Wote wamwitao kwa uaminifu.
19 Atawafanyia wamchao matakwa yao, Naye atakisikia kilio chao na kuwaokoa.
20 Bwana huwahifadhi wote wampendao, Na wote wasio haki atawaangamiza.
21 Kinywa changu kitazinena sifa za Bwana; Wote wenye mwili na walihimidi jina lake takatifu milele na milele.
Luka 24:44-49
44 Kisha akawaambia, Hayo ndiyo maneno yangu niliyowaambia nilipokuwa nikali pamoja nanyi, ya kwamba ni lazima yatimizwe yote niliyoandikiwa katika Torati ya Musa, na katika Manabii na Zaburi.
45 Ndipo akawafunulia akili zao wapate kuelewa na maandiko.
46 Akawaambia, Ndivyo ilivyoandikwa, kwamba Kristo atateswa na kufufuka siku ya tatu;
47 na kwamba mataifa yote watahubiriwa kwa jina lake habari ya toba na ondoleo la dhambi, kuanza tangu Yerusalemu.
48 Nanyi ndinyi mashahidi wa mambo haya.
49 Na tazama, nawaletea juu yenu ahadi ya Baba yangu; lakini kaeni humu mjini, hata mvikwe uwezo utokao juu.

Kolosai 3:1-4
1 Basi mkiwa mmefufuliwa pamoja na Kristo, yatafuteni yaliyo juu Kristo aliko, ameketi mkono wa kuume wa Mungu.
2 Yafikirini yaliyo juu, siyo yaliyo katika nchi.
3 Kwa maana mlikufa, na uhai wenu umefichwa pamoja na Kristo katika Mungu.
4 Kristo atakapofunuliwa, aliye uhai wetu, ndipo na ninyi mtafunuliwa pamoja naye katika utukufu.
Yesu Kristo amefufuka kweli kweli. Sisi kama wanafaunzi wake tunashiriki ufufuo wake. Tujitahidi kutembea na yeye kila siku na kila saa. Tuombe Mungu atutakase ili mawazo, maneno na matendo yetu yawe safi na kumpendeza Yesu. Nguvu ilioyomfufua Yesu pia itupe nguvu na ushindi katika maisha yetu.
