WEDNESDAY 3RD JULY 2019 MORNING
Luke 14:16-24 New International Version (NIV)
16 Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
18 “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’
19 “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’
20 “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
21 “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’
22 “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’
23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”
This parable shows that many people have not got their priorities right. God is calling them to follow Him and to enter His Kingdom but they are too busy. They are too busy for God. They are busy with the things of this world. Let us stop and think. What would this world be like if God was too busy for us? Let us put God and His will first in our lives.

LUKA 14:16-24
16 Akamwambia, Mtu mmoja alifanya karamu kubwa akaalika watu wengi,
17 akamtuma mtumwa wake saa ya chakula awaambie wale walioalikwa, Njoni, kwa kuwa vitu vyote vimekwisha kuwekwa tayari.
18 Wakaanza wote kutoa udhuru kwa nia moja. Wa kwanza alimwambia, Nimenunua shamba, sharti niende nikalitazame; tafadhali unisamehe.
19 Mwingine akasema, Nimenunua ng'ombe jozi tano, ninakwenda kuwajaribu; tafadhali unisamehe.
20 Mwingine akasema, Nimeoa mke, na kwa sababu hiyo siwezi kuja.
21 Yule mtumwa akaenda, akampa bwana wake habari ya mambo hayo. Basi, yule mwenye nyumba akakasirika, akamwambia mtumwa wake, Toka upesi, uende katika njia kuu na vichochoro vya mji, ukawalete hapa maskini, na vilema, na vipofu, na viwete.
22 Mtumwa akasema, Bwana, hayo uliyoagiza yamekwisha tendeka, na hata sasa ingaliko nafasi.
23 Bwana akamwambia mtumwa, Toka nje uende barabarani na mipakani, ukawashurutishe kuingia ndani, nyumba yangu ipate kujaa.
24 Maana nawaambia ya kwamba katika wale walioalikwa, hapana hata mmoja atakayeionja karamu yangu.
Kutoka mfano huu wa Yesu tunajifunza kwamba watu wengi wanajali mambo ya dunia kuliko Mungu na Ufalme wake. Wanashuhuli nyingi na hawana muda wa kumsikiliza Mungu. Tafakari kidogo maisha ingekuwa namna gani kama Mungu hakuwa na muda kwa ajili yetu? Si uovu ungezidi sana na mambo yangeharibika kabisa. Tumpe Mungu nafasi ya kwanza katika maisha yetu na tutafute ufalme wake.
