JUMANNE TAREHE 16 NOVEMBA 2021, ASUBUHI.

2 Wathesalonike 1:3-10

6 Kwa kuwa ni haki mbele za Mungu kuwalipa mateso wale wawatesao ninyi;

8 katika mwali wa moto; huku akiwalipiza kisasi wao wasiomjua Mungu, na wao wasioitii Injili ya Bwana wetu Yesu;

9 watakaoadhibiwa kwa maangamizi ya milele, kutengwa na uso wa Bwana na utukufu wa nguvu zake;

Hukumu ya mwisho;

Siku njema.

TUESDAY 16TH NOVEMBA 2021, MORNING

2 Thessalonians 1:3-10 (NIV)

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters,[a] and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.

All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might 10 on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marvelled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

Footnotes

  1. 2 Thessalonians 1:3 The Greek word for brothers and sisters (adelphoi) refers here to believers, both men and women, as part of God’s family; also in 2:1, 13, 15; 3:1, 6, 13.

Final Judgment;

The apostle Paul writes to the Thessalonians about the judgment at the coming of Jesus, reminding them that God's judgment will be just, that he will judge each one according to his deeds. He shows that those who do not obey the Gospel will suffer eternal destruction (9).

How do we avoid eternal destruction? By obeying the Gospel of Christ and abiding in the apostleship as he called us, so that when he returns we may not be left behind.
