JUMATATU TAREHE 13 SEPTEMBA 2021, ASUBUHI.
2 Wafalme 4:30-37
30 Na mama yake yule mtoto akasema, Kama BWANA aishivyo, na roho yako iishivyo, sitakuacha. Basi akaondoka, akamfuata.
31 Na Gehazi akawatangulia, akaiweka ile fimbo juu ya uso wa mtoto; lakini hapakuwa na sauti, wala majibu. Basi akarudi ili kumlaki, akamwambia, akisema, Mtoto hakuamka.
32 Basi Elisha alipofika nyumbani, tazama, mtoto amekwisha kufa, amelazwa kitandani pake.
33 Basi akaingia ndani, akajifungia mlango, yeye na yule mtoto wote wawili, akamwomba BWANA.
34 Akapanda juu ya kitanda, akajilaza juu ya mtoto, akaweka kinywa chake juu ya kinywa chake, na macho yake juu ya macho yake, na mikono yake juu ya mikono yake; akajinyosha juu yake; mwili wake yule mtoto ukaanza kupata moto.
35 Kisha akarudi, akatembea nyumbani, huko na huko mara moja; akapanda, akajinyosha juu yake; na yule mtoto akapiga chafya mara saba, na mtoto akafumbua macho yake.
36 Akamwita Gehazi, akasema, Mwite yule Mshunami. Basi akamwita. Na alipofika kwake, Elisha akasema, Haya! Mchukue mwanao.
37 Ndipo akaingia, akamwangukia miguu akainama mpaka nchi; kisha akamchukua mwanawe, akatoka.
Mungu hujishughulisha na mambo yetu;
Elisha akiwa katika kazi za utume wake alipita katika nchi ya Shunemu na huko kuna mwanamke alifarijika na huduma yake, akamshawishi mume wake wakamtengea Elisha chumba alichokuwa anafikia.
Katika utume wake, siku moja kwa kumuuliza Gehazi mtumishi wake, Elisha alimuahidi yule mama Mshunami kuwa angepata mtoto baada ya mwaka mmoja, na kweli alipata mtoto.
Baadaye mtoto alikufa. Mama alitoka akaenda kumfuata Elisha, kumweleza juu ya mtoto kufa.
Ndipo somo la leo tunaona Elisha akija, anamwomba Bwana na mtoto anafufuka.
Lipo funzo hapa;
Yule mama hakuwa na mtoto, lakini kupitia kwa nabii Elisha Mungu alimpa mtoto. Huyu mama pia aliona kama Elisha anamdanganya kuhusu kupata mtoto;

16 Akasema, Panapo wakati huu mwakani, utamkumbatia mwana. Akasema, La! Bwana wangu, wewe mtu wa Mungu, usiniambie mimi mjakazi wako uongo.
Lakini hata mtoto alipokufa, Elisha aliomba mtoto akafufuka.
Tusiwe na wasiwasi juu ya mahitaji yetu maana Mungu hutupa. Na hata tunapokuwa shidani, tuwe na hakika kuwa tutashinda kwa msaada wa Mungu, maana yeye hujishughulisha na mambo yetu. Bwana akubariki.
Uwe na wiki njema yenye ushuhuda na mafanikio katika Kristo Yesu.
MONDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER 2021, MORNING
2 KINGS 4:30-37 (NIV)
30 But the child’s mother said, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So he got up and followed her.
31 Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or response. So Gehazi went back to meet Elisha and told him, “The boy has not awakened.”
32 When Elisha reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on his couch. 33 He went in, shut the door on the two of them and prayed to the Lord. 34 Then he got on the bed and lay on the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands. As he stretched himself out on him, the boy’s body grew warm. 35 Elisha turned away and walked back and forth in the room and then got on the bed and stretched out on him once more. The boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.
36 Elisha summoned Gehazi and said, “Call the Shunammite.” And he did. When she came, he said, “Take your son.” 37 She came in, fell at his feet and bowed to the ground. Then she took her son and went out.
God is concerned with our affairs;
While Elisha was on his mission, he passed through the land of Shunem and there was a woman who was comforted by his ministry, persuading her husband to set aside a room for Elisha.
In his mission, one day by asking his servant Gehazi, Elisha promised the Shunammite woman that she would have a baby in one year, and she did.
Later the baby died. The mother went out look for Elisha, telling him about the death of her baby.
Then in today's lesson we see Elisha coming, praying to the Lord and the child being raised.
There is a lesson here;
The mother did not have a baby, but through the prophet Elisha God gave her a baby. The mother also felt that Elisha was deceiving her about having a baby;
2 Kings 4:16
16 And he said, At this season, when the time cometh round, thou shalt embrace a son. And he said, Nay; My lord, you man of God, do not lie to your handmaid.
But even after the baby died, Elisha prayed for the baby to be resurrected.
We should not worry about our needs because God provides for us. And even when we are in trouble, we can be sure that we will win with God's help, for he cares for us. The Lord blesses you.
