THURSDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2021 MORNING
Matthew 11:16-19 New International Version (NIV)
16 “To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:
17 “‘We played the pipe for you,
and you did not dance;
we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”
Following Jesus is not about following guidelines or rules but living into a new reality. What must we do to recognize Jesus? We must follow him, live our lives for him, change our lives to obey his commandments, share his grace to all, and give him glory.

MATHAYO 11:16-19
16 Lakini nitakifananisha na nini kizazi hiki? Kimefanana na watoto wanaokaa sokoni, wanaowaita wenzao, wakisema,
17 Tuliwapigia filimbi, wala hamkucheza; tuliomboleza, wala hamkulia.
18 Maana Yohana alikuja, hali wala hanywi, wakasema, Yuna pepo.
19 Mwana wa Adamu alikuja, akila na kunywa, wakasema, Mlafi huyu, na mlevi, rafiki yao watoza ushuru na wenye dhambi! Na hekima imejulikana kuwa ina haki kwa kazi zake.
Kumfuata Yesu siyo kufuata taratibu au sheria, ni kuishi katika maisha mapya. Tunahitaji kufanya nini ili kumfahamu Yesu? Tunahitaji kumfuata, kuishi maisha yanayompendeza, kubadili maisha yetu kwa kuzitii amri zake, kuwashirikisha wengine neema yake na kumpa yeye pekee utukufu.
