JUMATATU TAREHE 11 OKTOBA 2021, ASUBUHI
Marko 9:14-26
14 Hata walipowafikia wanafunzi, waliona mkutano mkuu wakiwazunguka, na waandishi wakijadiliana nao;
15 mara mkutano wote walipomwona walishangaa, wakamwendea mbio, wakamsalimu.
16 Akawauliza, Mnajadiliana nini nao?
17 Mtu mmoja katika mkutano akamjibu, Mwalimu, nimemleta mwanangu kwako, ana pepo bubu;
18 na kila ampagaapo, humbwaga chini, naye hutoka povu na kusaga meno na kukonda; nikasema na wanafunzi wako wamtoe pepo, wasiweze.
19 Akawajibu, akasema, Enyi kizazi kisichoamini, nikae nanyi hata lini? Nichukuliane nanyi hata lini? Mleteni kwangu.
20 Wakamleta kwake; hata alipomwona, mara yule pepo alimtia kifafa; naye akaanguka chini, akagaa-gaa, akitokwa na povu.
21 Akamwuliza babaye, Amepatwa na haya tangu lini? Akasema, Tangu utoto.
22 Na mara nyingi amemtupa katika moto, na katika maji, amwangamize; lakini ukiweza neno lo lote, utuhurumie, na kutusaidia.
23 Yesu akamwambia, Ukiweza! Yote yawezekana kwake aaminiye.
24 Mara babaye yule kijana akapaza sauti, akasema, Naamini, nisaidie kutokuamini kwangu.
25 Naye Yesu akiona ya kuwa mkutano unakusanyika mbio, akamkemea yule pepo mchafu, akamwambia, Ewe pepo bubu na kiziwi, mimi nakuamuru, mtoke huyu, wala usimwingie tena.
26 Akalia, akamtia kifafa sana, akamtoka; naye akawa kama amekufa; hata wengi wakasema, Amekufa.
Nguvu ya Imani katika Yesu Kristo;
Yesu anamponya kijana mwenye pepo, aliyeletwa kwake na baba yake akiomba mwanae aponywe kwa kuondolewa pepo. Awali, baba huyu alimpeleka mtoto wake kwa wanafunzi lakini walishindwa kumtoa pepo kijana yule! Lakini Yesu anatamka neno na pepo mchafu anamtoka yule kijana!
Aliyemleta kijana alikuwa na imani katika Yesu Kristo. Msitari huu unaonesha hilo;

24 Mara babaye yule kijana akapaza sauti, akasema, Naamini, nisaidie kutokuamini kwangu.
Imani yake ilimponya mtoto wake. Sisi tunayo imani ya namna hii? Imani ya kumuita Yesu, akatuponya kwa sababu ya hiyo imani yetu? Tusijisahau. Ni muhimu kuwa na imani katika Yesu Kristo, maana ndiyo iletayo ushindi.

MARK 9:14-26
Jesus Heals a Boy Possessed by an Impure Spirit
14 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. 15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.
16 “What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.
17 A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. 18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”
19 “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.”
The Power of Faith in Jesus Christ;
Jesus heals a demon-possessed boy, brought to him by his father and asks for his son to be healed by a demon. Initially, the father sent his son to the disciples but they could not cast out the demon! But Jesus utters a word and an evil spirit comes out of the boy!
The one who brought the boy had faith in Jesus Christ. This verse shows that;
Mark 9:24
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
His faith healed the child. Do we have this kind of faith? Faith in calling Jesus to heal us because of our faith? Let's not forget ourselves. It is important to have faith in Jesus Christ, for that is what brings victory.
