WEDNESDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2018 MORNING
Acts 16:13-15 New International Version (NIV)
13 On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. 14 One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. 15 When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.
Lydia heard the Gospel and she believed. Then she was baptized together with her household. This probably included young children which shows that the early church adopted the practice of baptizing babies and children born into Christian families.
Let us not delay in bringing our Children to God in baptism. Let us be sure to bring them up in the Christian faith and be sure they get good teachings at home and Sunday school and in Confirmation classes.

MATENDO 16:13-15
13 Hata siku ya sabato tukatoka nje ya lango, tukaenda kando ya mto, ambapo tukadhani ya kuwa pana mahali pa kusali; tukaketi, tukasema na wanawake waliokutana pale.
14 Mwanamke mmoja, jina lake Lidia, mwenye kuuza rangi ya zambarau, mwenyeji wa Thiatira, mcha Mungu, akatusikiliza, ambaye moyo wake ulifunguliwa na Bwana, ayatunze maneno yaliyonenwa na Paulo.
15 Hata alipokwisha kubatizwa, yeye na nyumba yake, akatusihi, akisema, Kama mmeniona kuwa mwaminifu kwa Bwana, ingieni nyumbani mwangu mkakae. Akatushurutisha.
Lidia alisikia Injili na aliamini. Lidia alibatizwa pamoja na wote katika nyumba yake. Inawezekana na watoto wadogo wakiwepo . Kanisa la Kikristo lilanzisha mapema utaratibu kubatiza watoto wadogo ambao walizaliwa katika familia ya Kikristo.
Usisahau kuleta watoto wako kwa Mungu mapema kwa njia ya ubatizo. Pia uhakikishe unawalea kiroho. Uhakikishe unawafundisha Neno la Mungu nyumbani na kuwaleta Sunday School na kwa mafundisho ya Kipaimara kwa wakati unaotakiwa.
