Matthew 7:7-12 New International Version (NIV)
Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Jesus welcomes us to come to God in prayer and tell Him about what we need. Parents usually want to give good things to their children. God is our heavenly Father and He loves us much more than we human parents love our children. God hears and answers our prayers and gives us what is best for us. Let us talk to God often in prayer and remember also to pray for other people and to give thanks and praise to God for all His goodness to us.

MATHAYO 7:7-12
7 Ombeni, nanyi mtapewa; tafuteni, nanyi mtaona; bisheni, nanyi mtafunguliwa;
8 kwa maana kila aombaye hupokea; naye atafutaye huona; naye abishaye atafunguliwa.
9 Au kuna mtu yupi kwenu, ambaye, mwanawe akimwomba mkate, atampa jiwe?
10 Au akiomba samaki, atampa nyoka?
11 Basi ikiwa ninyi, mlio waovu, mnajua kuwapa watoto wenu vipawa vyema, je! Si zaidi sana Baba yenu aliye mbinguni atawapa mema wao wamwombao?
12 Basi yo yote myatakayo mtendewe na watu, nanyi watendeeni vivyo hivyo; maana hiyo ndiyo torati na manabii.
Yesu anatukaribisha kuleta mahitaji yetu kwa Mungu katika maombi. Yesu anasema kwamba kwa kawaida wazazi wanataka kuwapa watoto wao vitu vilivyo mema. Mungu ni Baba yetu kule Mbinguni na anatupenda kuliko wazazi binadamu wanavyopenda watoto wao. Tusisahau kuomba mara kwa mara. Tukumbuke pia kuombea watu wengine na pia tuwe watu wa shurkrani na kumsifu Mungu.
