2 Peter 2:1-4 New International Version (NIV)
False Teachers and Their Destruction
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,[a] putting them in chains of darkness[b] to be held for judgment;

God will judge all of us. We will be judged by our faith and also by our actions. If God has put you in a position of authority you will be judged more severely because your life has impacted many people. Those who claim to be prophets and who teach God’s Word should be very careful that their messages truly come from God. We who listen should learn to be discerning and not accept everything we are told.

2 PETRO 2:1-4
1 Lakini kuliondokea manabii wa uongo katika wale watu, kama vile kwenu kutakavyokuwako waalimu wa uongo, watakaoingiza kwa werevu uzushi wa kupoteza, wakimkana hata Bwana aliyewanunua, wakijiletea uharibifu usiokawia.
2 Na wengi watafuata ufisadi wao; na kwa hao njia ya kweli itatukanwa.
3 Na katika kutamani watajipatia faida kwenu kwa maneno yaliyotungwa; ambao hukumu yao tangu zamani haikawii, wala uvunjifu wao hausinzii.
4 Kwa maana ikiwa Mungu hakuwaachilia malaika waliokosa, bali aliwatupa shimoni, akawatia katika vifungo vya giza, walindwe hata ije hukumu;
Kila mtu atahukumiwa na Mungu. Mungu atatuhukumu kuhusu imani yetu na matendo yetu. Watu wenye Nafasi kubwa na mamlaka makubwa watahukimiwa kwa kipimo kikali zaidi kwa sababu mwenendo wao unawaathri watu wengi.
Watu ambao wanajiona ni Manabii wahakikishe kwamba kweli wametumwa na Mungu na wanaleta mafundisho ya kweli ya Neno la Mungu.
Sisi wasikilizaji tuwe makini tusipokee kila mafundisho. Tuchunguze mafundisho yote na kuyapima kulingana Neno la Mungu.
