WEDNESDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2018 MORNING
2 John 1:4-5 New International Version (NIV)
4 It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. 5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another.
This letter is probably addressed to Mary the mother of Jesus. When Jesus was on the cross He asked the Apostle John to look after His mother as his own mother. John reminds Mary of the commandment of Jesus to love one another. Within our families and in the family of the church we should love one another. It is a great joy when our children trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and live according to His laws.

4 Nalifurahi mno kwa kuwa nimewaona baadhi ya watoto wako wanaenenda katika kweli, kama vile tulivyopokea amri kwa Baba.
5 Na sasa mama, nakuomba, si kwamba nakuandikia amri mpya, bali ile tuliyokuwa nayo tangu mwanzo, kwamba tupendane.
Inaonekena kwamba Mtume Yohana aliandika waraka huu kwa Mama Mzazi wa Yesu Kristo. Yesu akiwa msalabani alimkabidhi mama yake kwa Yohana ile amtunze kama Mama yake. Yohana anamkumbusha amri ya Yesu Kristo ya kupendana. Tunapaswa kupendana katika familia zetu na katika familia ya kanisa. Pia tumshukuru Mungu kwamba watoto wetu wanamtegemea Yesu Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi na wanaishi kufuatana na sheria zake.
