Proverbs 1:20-23 New International Version (NIV)
Wisdom’s Rebuke
20 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud,
she raises her voice in the public square;
21 on top of the wall[a] she cries out,
at the city gate she makes her speech:
22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
23 Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings.

Wisdom is here personified. The writer of Proverbs describes wisdom like a women calling out to people. Let us hear the call of wisdom to us. Let us desire to grow in wisdom. When we study God’s Word in the Bible we will gain wisdom and understanding and make good choices in our lives.

20 Hekima hupaza sauti yake katika njia kuu, Hutoa sauti yake katika viwanja;
21 Hulia penye mikutano mikubwa ya watu, Mahali pa kuyaingilia malango, Ndani ya mji hutamka maneno yake.
22 Enyi wajinga, hata lini mtapenda ujinga? Na wenye dharau kupenda dharau yao, Na wapumbavu kuchukia maarifa?
23 Geukeni kwa ajili ya maonyo yangu; Tazama, nitawamwagia roho yangu, Na kuwajulisheni maneno yangu.
Mwandishi wa kitabu cha Mithali anaandika kuhusu hekima kama ni binadamu. Anaelezea jinsi hekima inawaita watu. Tuitikie wito. Tukubali kutafuta na kupokea hekima. Kwa kusoma na kutafakari Neno la Mungu katika Biblia tutapata hekima na kufanya uchaguzi mwema.
