Matthew 19:13-15 New International Version (NIV)
The Little Children and Jesus
13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.
14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.
Sometimes we adults feel that children are not important or they are a nuisance because they make a noise and won’t sit still. The disciples felt the children were disturbing Jesus as he talked to the adults. But Jesus welcomed the children and valued them. Children are important to Jesus and they should be important to us too.

MATHAYO 19:13-15
13 Ndipo akaletewa watoto wadogo ili aweke mikono yake juu yao na kuwaombea; wanafunzi wake wakawakemea.
14 Lakini Yesu akasema, Waacheni watoto wadogo waje kwangu; wala msiwazuie; kwa maana walio mfano wa hao, ufalme wa mbinguni ni wao.
15 Akaweka mikono yake juu yao, akatoka huko.
Mara kwa mara sisi watu wazima tunaona kwamba watoto sio wa muhimu kama watu wazima. Tunaona watoto ni wasumbufu kwa sababu wanapiga kelele na hawataki kutulia na kukaa kimya. Wanafunzi wa Yesu waliona kwamba watoto wanamsumbua Yesu wakati anaongea na watu. Lakini alionyesha kwamba anathamini sana watoto. Sisi pia tunapaswa kuwathamini watoto.
