MONDAY 1ST APRIL 2019 MORNING
Matthew 15:32-39 New International Version (NIV)
32 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”
33 His disciples answered, “Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?”
34 “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked.
“Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
35 He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. 36 Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.37 They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 38 The number of those who ate was four thousand men, besides women and children.39 After Jesus had sent the crowd away, he got into the boat and went to the vicinity of Magadan.
This is a similar incident to what we read yesterday from Luke’s Gospel. But probably this was a different occasion. The numbers involved are different but the principle is the same. It is another occasion when Jesus worked a miracle to minister to people in their need. When we willingly give what little we have material or in terms of our abilities, God will multiply what we give and make it more than enough. We just need to be willing to be used by God. Let us not make excuses. Let us give all that gave all that we have and all that we are to God and He will bless us and use us to bless other people.

MATHAYO 15:32-39
32 Yesu akawaita wanafunzi wake, akasema, Nawahurumia mkutano, kwa kuwa yapata siku tatu wamekaa pamoja nami, wala hawana kitu cha kula, tena kuwaaga wakifunga sipendi, wasije wakazimia njiani.
33 Wanafunzi wake wakamwambia, Tupate wapi mikate mingi hapa nyikani, hata kushibisha mkutano mkuu namna hii?
34 Yesu akawaambia, Mnayo mikate mingapi? Wakasema, Saba, na visamaki vichache.
35 Akawaagiza mkutano waketi chini;
36 akaitwaa ile mikate saba na vile visamaki, akashukuru akavimega, akawapa wanafunzi wake, nao wanafunzi wakawapa makutano.
37 Wakala wote wakashiba; wakayaokota masazo ya vipande vya mikate makanda saba, yamejaa.
38 Nao waliokula walikuwa wanaume elfu nne, bila wanawake na watoto.
39 Akawaaga makutano, akapanda chomboni, akaenda pande za Magadani.
Habari tuliyosoma hapa juu inafanana kiasi na somo la jana kutoka Injili ya Luka. Lakini inaonekana pia ni siku tofuati. Idadi ya watu waliolishwa ni tofauti na idadi ya mikate ni tofauti. Lakini mada ni ile ile. Yesu alitenda miujiza na kutana na mahitaji ya watu. Mtu alitoa chakula chake kidogo na Yesu alikifanya tosha kwa watu na kubaki ziada. Tumtolee Mungu kile kidogo tulicho nacho katika fedha na vipawa wetu na yeye atazidisha. Tufanye hivi na Mungu atatubariki na kutuwezesha kubariki watu wengine.
