SATURDAY 19TH MAY 2018 MORNING DANIEL 9:17-19
Daniel 9:17-19 New International Version (NIV)
17 “Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 19 Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”
This is part of Daniel’s prayer to God. Notice his humility in coming before God acknowledging that he is not worthy of God’s help. But he reminds God about the desolation of the Holy city of Jerusalem and asks for God’s intervention.
Let us come to God in humility and pray according to His will.

17 Basi sasa, Ee Mungu wetu, yasikilize maombi ya mtumishi wako, na dua zake, ukaangazishe uso wako juu ya patakatifu pako palipo ukiwa, kwa ajili ya Bwana.
18 Ee Mungu wangu, tega sikio lako, ukasikie; fumbua macho yako ukautazame ukiwa wetu, na mji ule ulioitwa kwa jina lako; maana hatukutolei maombi yetu kwa sababu ya haki yetu, lakini kwa sababu ya rehema zako nyingi.
19 Ee Bwana, usikie; Ee Bwana, usamehe; Ee Bwana, usikilize, ukatende, usikawie; kwa ajili yako wewe, Ee Mungu wangu; kwa sababu mji wako na watu wako wanaitwa kwa jina lako.
