TUESDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2017 MORNING
Zechariah 3:8-10 New International Version (NIV)
8 “‘Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. 9 See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes[a] on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.
10 “‘In that day each of you will invite your neighbour to sit under your vine and fig tree,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
In the reading above, in verse 8b, Prophet Zechariah prophesy's about the birth of Jesus Christ many hundreds of years before it happened. Prophet Isaiah did the same in Isaiah 4:2
It goes to prove that the birth of Jesus Christ was in God's plan long before it happened. It is evidence that the word of God will always come to pass. At this time of the year when we wait to celebrate the birth of Christ, let us truly celebrate the salvation that came with it.

Zekaria 3: 8 - 10
8 Sikiliza sasa, Ee Yoshua, kuhani mkuu, wewe na wenzako waketio mbele yako; maana hao ni watu walio ishara; kwa maana, tazama, ninamleta mtumishi wangu, aitwaye Chipukizi.
9 Maana, litazame jiwe hili nililoliweka mbele ya Yoshua; katika jiwe moja yako macho saba; tazama, nitachora machoro yake, asema Bwana wa majeshi, nami nitauondoa uovu wa nchi ile katika siku moja.
10 Katika siku ile, asema Bwana wa majeshi, ninyi mtamwalika kila mtu jirani yake chini ya mzabibu, na chini ya mtini.
Katika somo la leo, mstari wa 8b, nabii Zekaria anatabiri juu ya kuja kwa Yesu Kristo miaka mia kadhaa kabla ya kuzaliwa kwake. Nabii Isaya pia anafanya hivyo katika Isaya 4:2 Ni ushahidi kwamba Mungu alipanga kutukomboa kwa kumtuma Kristo tangu zamani za kale. Ni ushahidi pia kwamba neno la Mungu halitapita bila kutimizwa. Tunapojiandaa kusheherekea Krismasi, tukumbuke kusheherekea ukombozi ulioletwa kwetu na Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo.
