ALHAMISI TAREHE 3 JUNI 2021, ASUBUHI
8 Na Mungu, ajuaye mioyo ya watu, akawashuhudia, akiwapa Roho Mtakatifu vile vile kama alivyotupa sisi;
Mungu mmoja;
Baba, Mwana na Roho Mtakatifu;
Siku njema.
THURSDAY 3RD JUNE 2021, MORNING
Acts 15:6-11
6 The apostles and elders met to consider this question. 7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 9 He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. 10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? 11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”
One God;
Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
In Antioch, Paul and Barnabas preach, but some of their teachings are rejected. Then it was decided to go to Jerusalem, and in worship, Peter then came with the message we read.
Peter explains how God chose them, led them to preach by the power of the Holy Spirit, exhorting them not to be ruled by their own ideas, but by the word of God.
Peter concludes that salvation is by God's grace. This is my message to you this morning, that God has chosen us to serve, proclaiming his kingdom, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Let us abide in this mission, that his Church may be governed by his word, and not our thoughts.
