FRIDAY 22ND NOVEMBER 2019 MORNING AMOSI
Amos 9:7-10 New International Version (NIV)
7 “Are not you Israelites
the same to me as the Cushites[c]?”
declares the Lord.
“Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt,
the Philistines from Caphtor[d]
and the Arameans from Kir?
8 “Surely the eyes of the Sovereign Lord
are on the sinful kingdom.
I will destroy it
from the face of the earth.
Yet I will not totally destroy
the descendants of Jacob,”
declares the Lord.
9 “For I will give the command,
and I will shake the people of Israel
among all the nations
as grain is shaken in a sieve,
and not a pebble will reach the ground.
10 All the sinners among my people
will die by the sword,
all those who say,
‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’
Sinners cannot flee from God's justice because He is omnipresent. Those, whom God has chosen by his grace, shall never be cast out. God’s eye is upon unrepentant evildoers for condemnation; and His elect for eternal life.
“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar (Psalms 139:1-2).”

AMOSI 9:7-10
7 Je! Ninyi si kama wana wa Wakushi kwangu mimi, enyi wana wa Israeli, asema Bwana? Je! Mimi sikuwapandisha Israeli toka nchi ya Misri, na Wafilisti toka Kaftori, na Washami toka Kiri?
8 Angalieni, macho ya Bwana MUNGU yanauangalia ufalme wenye dhambi, nami nitauangamiza utoke juu ya uso wa dunia; lakini sitaiangamiza kabisa nyumba ya Yakobo, asema Bwana.
9 Kwa maana, angalieni, nitatoa amri, nami nitaipepeta nyumba ya Israeli katika mataifa yote, kama vile ngano ipepetwavyo katika ungo lakini hata chembe moja iliyo ndogo haitaanguka chini.
10 Wenye dhambi wote katika watu wangu watakufa kwa upanga, hao wasemao, Mabaya hayatatupata nyuma wala mbele.
Wenye dhambi hawawezi kuikimbia haki ya Mungu, kwa sababu yeye yuko mahali pote. Wale Mungu aliowachagua kwa neema yake, hawatatupwa nje kamwe. Jicho la Mungu liko juu ya waovu wasiotubu, kwa ajili ya hukumu; na wateule wake kwa uzima wa milele..
“Ee Bwana, umenichunguza na kunijua! Wewe wajua kuketi kwangu na kuondoka kwangu; Umelifahamu wazo langu tokea mbali (Zaburi 139:1-2).”
