2 Corinthians 13:5-9 New International Version (NIV)
5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. 7 Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong—not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is that you may be fully restored.
Paul is suggesting that we ask ourselves if we have the evidence that Jesus Christ lives in us. A true Christian is someone in whom Christ dwells. How can I know that? The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children (Romans 8:16). Also by observing our conduct, because the inner change will produce a different attitude toward our behavior

2WAKORINTHO 13:5-9
5 Jijaribuni wenyewe kwamba mmekuwa katika imani; jithibitisheni wenyewe. Au hamjijui wenyewe, kwamba Yesu Kristo yu ndani yenu? Isipokuwa mmekataliwa.
6 Lakini natumaini kama mtajua ya kuwa sisi hatukukataliwa.
7 Nasi twamwomba Mungu, msifanye lo lote lililo baya; si kwamba sisi tuonekane tumekubaliwa, lakini ninyi mfanye lile lililo jema, tujapokuwa sisi tu kama waliokataliwa.
8 Maana hatuwezi kutenda neno lo lote kinyume cha kweli, bali kwa ajili ya kweli.
9 Maana twafurahi, iwapo sisi tu dhaifu, nanyi mmekuwa hodari. Tena twaomba hili nalo, kutimilika kwenu.
