9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,

The Lord’s Grace to Paul
12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethanyat the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
“Hosanna![a]”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[b]
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Palm Sunday is the start of Holy week leading up to Easter. It is one of the important Christian festivals. Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9. Jesus was worshipped as King. He was honoured by the crowds. Sadly the same crowds would soon turn against Him.
Pray that God would bless you and your family this Easter and help you to truly appreciate all that Jesus did for you.

9 Ningezitwaa mbawa za asubuhi, Na kukaa pande za mwisho za bahari;
10 Huko nako mkono wako utaniongoza, Na mkono wako wa kuume utanishika.
11 Kama nikisema, Hakika giza litanifunika, Na nuru inizungukayo ingekuwa usiku;
12 Giza nalo halikufichi kitu, Bali usiku huangaza kama mchana; Giza na mwanga kwako ni sawasawa.
13 Maana Wewe ndiwe uliyeniumba mtima wangu, Uliniunga tumboni mwa mama yangu.

12 Nami namshukuru Kristo Yesu Bwana wetu, aliyenitia nguvu kwa sababu aliniona kuwa mwaminifu, akaniweka katika utumishi wake;
13 ingawa hapo kwanza nalikuwa mtukanaji, mwenye kuudhi watu, mwenye jeuri, lakini nalipata rehema kwa kuwa nalitenda hivyo kwa ujinga, na kwa kutokuwa na imani.
14 Na neema ya Bwana wetu ilizidi sana, pamoja na imani na pendo lililo katika Kristo Yesu.
15 Ni neno la kuaminiwa, tena lastahili kukubalika kabisa, ya kwamba Kristo Yesu alikuja ulimwenguni awaokoe wenye dhambi; ambao wa kwanza wao ni mimi.
16 Lakini kwa ajili hii nalipata rehema, ili katika mimi wa kwanza, Yesu Kristo audhihirishe uvumilivu wake wote; niwe kielelezo kwa wale watakaomwamini baadaye, wapate uzima wa milele.
17 Sasa kwa Mfalme wa milele, asiyeweza kuona uharibifu, asiyeonekana, Mungu peke yake, na iwe heshima na utukufu milele na milele. Amina.
Marko 11:1-10
1 Hata walipokaribia Yerusalemu karibu na Bethfage na Bethania, kukabili mlima wa Mizeituni, aliwatuma wawili katika wanafunzi wake,
2 akawaambia, Nendeni mpaka kile kijiji kinachowakabili; na katika kuingia ndani yake, mara mtaona mwana-punda amefungwa, asiyepandwa na mtu bado; mfungueni, kamleteni.
3 Na mtu akiwaambia, Mbona mnafanya hivi? Semeni, Bwana anamhitaji na mara atamrudisha tena hapa.
4 Wakaenda zao, wakamwona mwana-punda amefungwa penye mlango, nje katika njia kuu, wakamfungua.
5 Baadhi ya watu waliosimama huko wakawaambia, Mnafanya nini kumfungua mwana-punda?
6 Wakawaambia kama Yesu alivyowaagiza, nao wakawaruhusu.
7 Wakamletea Yesu yule mwana-punda, wakatandika mavazi yao juu yake; akaketi juu yake.
8 Watu wengi wakatandaza mavazi yao njiani, na wengine matawi waliyoyakata mashambani.
9 Nao watu waliotangulia na wale waliofuata wakapaza sauti, Hosana; ndiye mbarikiwa ajaye kwa jina la Bwana;
10 umebarikiwa na ufalme ujao, wa baba yetu Daudi. Hosana juu mbinguni.
Leo ni Siku ya Mitende. Ni siku ya Kwanza ya Juma Takatifu inayoelekea Pasaka. Tunasoma habari ya Yesu kuingia Yerusalemu kwa shangwe. Alikuwa amepanda Punda na alitimiza unabii wa Zekaria 9:9. Yesu alipokelewa vizuri na umati wa watu. Lakini baada ya siku chache walimgeukia na kutaka asulibiwe.
Mwombe Mungu akusaidie kusherekea vizuri msimu wa Pasaka na familia yako na kweli kumshukuru Yesu kwa yote liyokutendea.
