WEDNESDAY 24TH MARCH 2021, MORNING
Matthew 20:24-28 New International Version (NIV)
24 When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Christ gave His life on the cross as a ransom for many, and the many here refers to us, the people He has saved from sin and eternal death. But His ministry to us did not stop there. Christ is still giving Himself for us through His unceasing intercession in Heaven, and through the work of the Holy Spirit on earth. And the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts on us so that we can build up the body of Christ by using them well.

MATHAYO 20:24-28
24 Na wale kumi waliposikia, waliwakasirikia wale ndugu wawili.
25 Lakini Yesu akawaita, akasema, Mwajua ya kuwa wakuu wa Mataifa huwatawala kwa nguvu, na wakubwa wao huwatumikisha.
26 Lakini haitakuwa hivyo kwenu; bali mtu ye yote anayetaka kuwa mkubwa kwenu, na awe mtumishi wenu;
27 na mtu ye yote anayetaka kuwa wa kwanza kwenu na awe mtumwa wenu;
28 kama vile Mwana wa Adamu asivyokuja kutumikiwa, bali kutumika, na kutoa nafsi yake iwe fidia ya wengi.
Kristo alitoa uhai wake pale msalabani ili iwe fidia ya wengi, na hapa, neno wengi ni mimi na wewe, watu aliotuokoa kutoka utumwa wa dhambi na mauti ya milele. Lakini huduma yake kwetu haikuishia pale msalabani. Kristo angali anajitoa kwa ajili yetu kwa jinsi anavyotuombea pasipo kukoma kule mbinguni, na kwa njia ya kazi za Roho Mtakatifu hapa duniani. Naye Roho Mtakatifu hutukirimia karama mbalimbali ili tuzitumie vyema kuujenga mwili wa Kristo.
