Luke 22:14-20 New International Version (NIV)
14 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table.15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”
17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.[a]

When Jesus was celebrating the Jewish Passover with the Apostles on the night before He was crucified He began the Holy Communion service. In a few days time on Thursday 18th April we will have special evening Holy Communion services to remember this occasion. As you partake of Holy Communion you receive the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember that Jesus suffered and died for you on the cross so that your sins can be forgiven and you can be reconciled to God.

LUKA 22:14-20
14 Hata saa ilipofika aliketi chakulani, yeye na wale mitume pamoja naye.
15 Akawaambia, Nimetamani sana kuila pasaka hii pamoja nanyi kabla ya kuteswa kwangu;
16 kwa maana nawaambia ya kwamba siili tena hata itakapotimizwa katika ufalme wa Mungu.
17 Akapokea kikombe, akashukuru, akasema, Twaeni hiki, mgawanye ninyi kwa ninyi;
18 Maana nawaambia ya kwamba tangu sasa sinywi mazao ya mzabibu hata ufalme wa Mungu utakapokuja.
19 Akatwaa mkate, akashukuru, akaumega, akawapa, akisema, [Huu ndio mwili wangu unaotolewa kwa ajili yenu; fanyeni hivi kwa ukumbusho wangu.
20 Kikombe nacho vivyo hivyo baada ya kula; akisema, Kikombe hiki ni agano jipya katika damu yangu, inayomwagika kwa ajili yenu.]
Hapa juu tunasoma habari za Alhamisi kuu. Siku mmoja kabla ya kufa msalabani Yesu alisherekea Siku Kuu ya Kiyahudi ya Pasaka pamoja na Mitume. Wakati wa chakula cha jioni Yesu alianzisha ibada ya Chakula cha Bwana. Mwaka huu siku ya Alhamisi Kuu itakuwa tarehe 18 Aprili na tutakuwa na ibada maluumu ya chakula cha Bwana jioni kukumbuka siku ile. Jitahidi kuhudhuria ibada siku ile. Wakati ukishiriki sakramenti ya Chakula cha Bwana, utapokea mwili na damu wa Mwokozi wako Yesu Kristo. Kumbuka jinsi Yesu aliteswa na alikufa msalabani kulipa deni la dhambi zako ili uweze kusamehemewa na kupatanishwa na Mungu.
