2 Corinthians 6:1-10 New International Version (NIV)
1 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.2 For he says,
“In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.”[a]
I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
Paul’s Hardships
3 We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. 4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; 6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; 7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;8 through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; 10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

The Apostle Paul was a dedicated and committed servant of God. He preached the Gospel faithfully and wanted people to come to faith in Christ and to become mature in their faith. Paul experienced many challenges and hardships as he carried out this ministry. But he did not become discouraged but persevered in the work to which God had called Him. The Holy Spirit helped him in this work.
Let us continue to trust in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and ask the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us and enable us to serve God faithfully.

1 Nasi tukitenda kazi pamoja naye twawasihi msiipokee neema ya Mungu bure.
2 (Kwa maana asema, Wakati uliokubalika nalikusikia, Siku ya wokovu nalikusaidia;tazama,wakati uliokubalika ndiyo sasa; tazama siku ya wokovu ni sasa)
3 Tusiwe kwazo la namna yo yote katika jambo lo lote, ili utumishi wetu usilaumiwe;
4 bali katika kila neno tujipatie sifa njema, kama watumishi wa Mungu; katika saburi nyingi, katika dhiki, katika misiba, katika shida;
5 katika mapigo, katika vifungo, katika fitina, katika taabu, katika kukesha, katika kufunga;
6 katika kuwa safi, katika elimu, katika uvumilivu, katika utu wema, katika Roho Mtakatifu, katika upendo usio unafiki;
7 katika neno la kweli, katika nguvu ya Mungu; kwa silaha za haki za mkono wa kuume na za mkono wa kushoto;
8 kwa utukufu na aibu; kwa kunenwa vibaya na kunenwa vema; kama wadanganyao, bali tu watu wa kweli;
9 kama wasiojulikana, bali wajulikanao sana; kama wanaokufa, kumbe tu hai; kama wanaorudiwa, bali wasiouawa;
10 kama wenye huzuni, bali siku zote tu wenye furaha; kama maskini, bali tukitajirisha wengi; kama wasio na kitu, bali tu wenye vitu vyote.
Mtume Paulo alikuwa mtumishi wa Mungu mwaminifu. Paulo alihubiri Injili kwa bidii. Alitaka watu kumwamini Mungu kama Bwana na Mwokozi wao na kukua kiroho. Katika huduma hii alipata changamoto na matatizo mengi. Lakini hakukata tamaa. Paulo aliendelea kufanya kazi kwa moyo akiongozwa na Roho Mtakatifu.
Tumtegemee Yesu Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi wetu na tumwombe Roho Mtakatifu atuongoze katika maisha yetu.
