WEDNESDAY 22ND MAY 2019 MORNING
1 Corinthians 14:10-15 New International Version (NIV)
10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me. 12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.
13 For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say. 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.
This is a part of the teachings of The Apostle Paul about the Gifts of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives different gifts to different Christians as He chooses. The gifts are intended to glorify God and build His church. May God give us wisdom to use rightly the gifts of the Spirit and the natural abilities which He has given us. May our whole lives be like a song of praise which is pleasing to God.

1 KORINTHO 14:10-15
10 Yamkini ziko sauti za namna nyingi duniani, wala hakuna moja isiyo na maana.
11 Basi nisipoijua maana ya ile sauti nitakuwa kama mjinga kwake yeye anenaye; naye anenaye atakuwa mjinga kwangu.
12 Vivyo hivyo na ninyi, kwa kuwa mnatamani sana kuwa watu wenye karama za roho, takeni kwamba mzidi sana kuwa nazo ili kulijenga kanisa.
13 Kwa sababu hiyo yeye anenaye kwa lugha na aombe apewe kufasiri.
14 Maana nikiomba kwa lugha, roho yangu huomba, lakini akili zangu hazina matunda.
15 Imekuwaje, basi? Nitaomba kwa roho, tena nitaomba kwa akili pia; mtaimba kwa roho, tena nitaimba kwa akili pia.
Maneno hapo juu ni sehemu ya mafundisho ya Mtume Paulo kuhusu karama za Roho Mtakatifu. Roho Mtaktifu anawagawia wakristo karama mbalimbali kama anavyopenda. Lengo la karama hizi ni kumtukuza Mungu na kujenga kanisa.
Mungu atusaidie kuitumia vizuri karama za Roho na talanta zingine kwa utukufu wake. Maisha yetu yote yawe kama wimbo wa sifa kwa Mungu.
