Yohana 9:24-34

26 Basi wakamwambia, Alikutendea nini? Alikufumbua macho jinsi gani?

27 Akawajibu, Nimekwisha kuwaambia, wala hamkusikia; mbona mnataka kusikia tena?

34 Wakajibu, wakamwambia, Ama! Wewe ulizaliwa katika dhambi tupu, nawe unatufundisha sisi? Wakamtoa nje.

Nguvu ya imani katika Yesu Kristo;

Ilikuwa siku ya sabato, Yesu akamponya kipofu, kwa kumpaka tope usoni, mara kipofu akaona. (Yoh 9:1-12).

Siku njema.

TUESDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2021, MORNING

John 9:24-34 (NIV)

24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”

25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

26 Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”

28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”

30 The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

34 To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out.

The power of faith in Jesus Christ;

It was a Sabbath when Jesus healed the blind man, smearing mud on his face, and immediately the blind man’s sight was restored. (John 9: 1-12). Dissatisfied, the Pharisees began to inquire about healing (starting on verse 13)

The Pharisees asked the parents of the one who had been blind to see if he had been born blind! So far the point is that Jesus healed the blind man.

This morning we read a continuation of the Pharisees arguing with the healed man about his healing. They did not accept Jesus! Yet he lived among them.

We live a Christian life by going to church every day, but do we have faith in Jesus Christ? Or are we like the Pharisees? The Pharisees were could see, but spiritually they were blind. What is our place in believing in Jesus Christ and following Him?

Let's have faith like a blind man healed. Because by faith Jesus saves us from our troubles. Let us pray for His grace to give us physical and spiritual sight, witnessing Him boldly always.

Good day.
