Psalm 31:6-8 (Zaburi 31:6-8)

TUESDAY 14TH MAY 2019

Psalm 31:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

I hate those who cling to worthless idols;
    as for me, I trust in the Lord.
I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
    for you saw my affliction
    and knew the anguish of my soul.
You have not given me into the hands of the enemy
    but have set my feet in a spacious place.

King David begins this Psalm by confessing that he has taken refuge in the Lord. David asks God for help especially to deliver him from his enemies.  In verse 7 ( above) he confesses that God saw his need and David rejoices in God.

Let us trust in God when we are faced with challenges in our lives and pray for His guidance and protection.

ZABURI 31:6-8

6 Nawachukia wao washikao yasiyofaa yenye uongo; Bali mimi namtumaini Bwana.
Umeijua nafsi yangu taabuni,
8 Wala hukunitia mikononi mwa adui; Miguu yangu umeisimamisha panapo nafasi.
