God’s Peace and grace be upon you all.

We wish you Easter blessings as you celebrate the greatness of the salvation that is God’s free gift to you through Jesus Christ.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).

We know and live in daily gratitude of what a gift we have been given through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Our hope is in and through Jesus. The promise of Easter is found in knowing that our Savior rose from the tomb and lives today. He sits at the right hand of His Father.

The joy of Easter lies in the news of the resurrection of Christ. How much has the world changed since then? We are still faced with serious moral degradation in our societies, sometimes in the face of human rights. Human life is threatened with variety of diseases; and currently in a certain part of our country; the presence of “Marburg” Virus Disease (MVD) outbreak. Human struggles to survive and defend themselves have left the world polluted through economic and military activities. However, we are sometimes lagged behind by leadership of societies that are self serving. We must pray and persevere with discipline and a Christ like sacrifice to continue to work to make our people happy and joyous.

Yet, despite these traumatic, disappointing and painful situations, the message of Easter continues to be a joyful one of courage and hope. “Easter is a reminder and encouragement that God in Christ continues to love and care for the whole world, overcoming death with life, conquering fear and uncertainty with hope.”

Easter is unlike any other event but is an event that carries the true meaning of God to redeem the world from sin and death through His Son Jesus Christ. On this basis, it is our responsibility to continue preaching the good news regardless of the dangerous circumstances in which we find ourselves. God has ordained everything for His good purpose, even in these days where we feel overwhelmed by the life uncertainties.

This is a time to remember the priceless love of God given to mankind and give thanks to God. May the love and sacrifice of Jesus be recalled as we celebrate the risen Lord. Each moment of the life of Jesus had purpose. God had a plan for His Son, and God has a plan for each person today.

Christ is Risen!
