Mark 1:16-20 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Calls His First Disciples
16 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 18 At once they left their nets and followed him.
19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
In this passage we read about the call of the first Apostles. Jesus found two sets of brothers going about their daily work of fishing in Lake Galilee. Jesus called them to follow Him and to become fishers of men. That is Jesus wanted to teach them to preach the Gospel so that people could come to faith in Him. The four obeyed Jesus instructions and followed Him.
What is Jesus calling you to do? Are you willing to obey?

MARKO 1:16-20
16 Naye alipokuwa akipita kando ya bahari ya Galilaya, akamwona Simoni na Andrea nduguye, wakitupa jarife baharini; kwa maana walikuwa wavuvi.
17 Yesu akawaambia, Njoni mnifuate, nami nitawafanya kuwa wavuvi wa watu.
18 Mara wakaziacha nyavu zao, wakamfuata.
19 Akaendelea mbele kidogo, akamwona Yakobo wa Zebedayo, na Yohana nduguye, nao pia walikuwa chomboni, wakizitengeneza nyavu zao.
20 Mara akawaita, wakamwacha baba yao Zebedayo ndani ya chombo pamoja na watu wa mshahara, wakaenda, wakamfuata.
Katika maneno haya tunasoma habari za wito wa Mitume wa kwanza. Yesu alikuta ndugu hawa wakiendelea na kazi zao za kila siku. Walikuwa wanavua samaki katika Ziwa Galilaya. Yesu aliwaita kuacha nyavu na kazi zao na kumfuata. Yesu aliwapa kazi mpya ya kuvua watu, yaani kuhubiri Injili ili watu wamwamini Yesu Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi wao.
Wewe Je ! Yesu amekuita kufanya nini? Je! Uko tayari kumtii?
