FRIDAY 20TH JULY 2018 MORNING
Isaiah 61:6-9 New International Version (NIV)
6 And you will be called priests of the Lord,
you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
and in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of your shame
you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice;
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Their descendants will be known among the nations
and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”
This chapter begins with a prophecy about the ministry of Jesus Christ and how He came to care for those in all kinds of need. The verses above are words of encouragement to the Israelites that God will restore them from exile. After punishment for their disobedience God will have mercy on them and bless them richly.
Thank God for His love and mercy and the good plans He has for your life. Decide to listen to God and obey His laws.

ISAYA 61:6-9
6 Bali ninyi mtaitwa makuhani wa Bwana; watu watawaiteni wahudumu wa Mungu wetu; mtakula utajiri wa mataifa, na kujisifia utukufu wao.
7 Badala ya aibu yenu mtapata maradufu, na badala ya fedheha wataifurahia sehemu yao; basi katika nchi yao watamiliki maradufu; furaha yao itakuwa ya milele.
8 Maana mimi, Bwana, naipenda hukumu ya haki, nauchukia wivi na uovu; nami nitawalipa malipo katika kweli, nitaagana nao agano la milele.
9 Na kizazi chao kitajulikana katika mataifa, na uzao wao katika kabila za watu; wote wawaonao watakiri ya kuwa wao ni kizazi kilichobarikiwa na Bwana.
Mistari ya mwanzo mwa mlango huu ni maneno ya utabiri kuhusu huduma ya Yesu Kristo jinsi atahudumia wahitaji wa aina zote. Maneno hapo juu ni maneno ya faraja kutoka Mungu kwa Waisraeli. Waisraeli walipelekwa utumwani kama adhabu kwa uaasi wao. Bada ya adhabu Mungu aliahidi kuwarejesha na kuwabariki.
Tumshukuru Mungu kwa baraka nyingi anazotutupa na tumtii kwa furaha.
