Hebrews 13:17-19 New International Version (NIV)

17 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

18 Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.

We do not know who wrote the letter to the Hebrews. He was writing to Christians from a Jewish background. It seems that they knew the writer and he concludes with a personal request  for their prayers. He also urges them to submit to their leaders. As Christians we should show respect to those in authority in Government and church and to those who are senior to us at our place of work. We should also pray for one another and always do our best to live in a way which is pleasing to God.

JUMANNE TAREHE 31 JULAI 2018 ASUBUHI

EBRANIA 13:17-19
