Aeneas and Dorcas
32 As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people who lived in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years. 34 “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and roll up your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up. 35 All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
When The Lord Jesus Christ was on earth He performed many miracles including healing people afflicted by various diseases and disabilities and casting out demons. The Apostle Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and God gave him the power to heal the sick in the name of Jesus Christ. This miracle drew many people to faith in Jesus Christ.
We still see such miracles today. But let us truly seek to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior rather than just being excited by miracles.

32 Hata Petro alipokuwa akizunguka-zunguka pande zote akawatelemkia na watakatifu waliokaa Lida.
33 Akamwona mtu mmoja huko, jina lake Ainea, mtu huyo amelala kitandani miaka minane; maana alikuwa amepooza.
34 Petro akamwambia, Ainea, Yesu Kristo akuponya; ondoka, ujitandikie. Mara akaondoka.
35 Na watu wote waliokaa Lida na Sharoni wakamwona, wakamgeukia Bwana.
Wakati Bwana Yesu Kristo akiwa duniani alitenda miujiza mingi pamoja na kuponya wagonjwa na walemavu na kufuzukuza mapepo. Mtume Petro alijazwa Roho Mtakatifu na alipewa uwezo wa kuponya wagonjwa kwa Jina la Yesu Kristo. Miujiza ilitendeka na kuvuta watu wengi kumwamini Yesu Kristo.
Hata leo kuna watumishi wa Mungu ambao wamepewa karama ya uponyaji. Watu wanavutiwa sana na miujiza hii. Lakini ni bora kumtegemea Yesu Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi kuliko kutafuta miujiza tu.
