MONDAY 6TH JULY 2020 MORNING
1Timothy 1:18-20 New International Version (NIV)
18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, 19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. 20 Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
Fighting a good war means persevering in the faith in the face of trials and temptations. We do that as we fill our minds with the truth of God’s Word, learn it and obey it; and that is what being a good soldier means.

1TIMOTHEO 1:18-20
18 Mwanangu Timotheo, nakukabidhi agizo hilo liwe akiba, kwa ajili ya maneno ya unabii yaliyotangulia juu yako, ili katika hayo uvipige vile vita vizuri;
19 uwe mwenye imani na dhamiri njema, ambayo wengine wameisukumia mbali, wakaangamia kwa habari ya Imani.
20 Katika hao wamo Himenayo na Iskanda, ambao nimempa Shetani watu hao, ili wafundishwe wasimtukane Mungu.
Kuvipiga vita vizuri ni kuvumilia na kudumu katika imani wakati wa shida na majaribu. Tunafanya hivyo kwa kuiweka kweli ya neno la Mungu mioyoni mwetu, kujifunza na kulitii; na hii ndiyo maana ya kuwa askari mwema.
