1 Corinthians 2:10-12 New International Version (NIV)
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
Human beings do not have the capacity to search the depths of God. However, the Holy Spirit can understand God’s mysteries, and God gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit, so that we might understand those mysteries too.
These spiritual gifts make it possible to understand God in ways that those who have not received these gifts cannot. However, Christians have no room for boasting, because these gifts are not prizes that we have won or honors that we have deserved, but are instead gifts given to the undeserving.

1 WAKORINTHO 2:10-12
10 Lakini Mungu ametufunulia sisi kwa Roho. Maana Roho huchunguza yote, hata mafumbo ya Mungu.
11 Maana ni nani katika binadamu ayajuaye mambo ya binadamu ila roho ya binadamu iliyo ndani yake? Vivyo hivyo na mambo ya Mungu hakuna ayafahamuye ila Roho wa Mungu.
12 Lakini sisi hatukuipokea roho ya dunia, bali Roho atokaye kwa Mungu, makusudi tupate kuyajua tuliyokirimiwa na Mungu.
Wanadamu hawana uwezo wa kuzichunguza siri za Mungu. Hata hivyo, Roho Mtakatifu anaweza kuelewa maajabu ya Mungu, naye Mungu hutupa karama za Roho Mtakatifu ili tuweze kuelewa maajabu hayo.
Karama hizi za Roho Mtakatifu zinatuwezesha kuzielewa njia za Mungu kwa namna ambayo wale wasio na karama hizo hawawezi kuelewa. Hata hivyo, Wakristo hawana nafasi ya kujivuna kwa sababu karama hizi siyo zawadi au taji tunayopewa baada ya kushindana na kustahili, lakini ni karama zitolewazo kwa wale wasiostahili.
