WEDNESDAY 21ST NOVEMBER 2018 MORNING
Jude 1:5-13 New International Version (NIV)
5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord[a]at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
8 In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings. 9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”[b] 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.
11 Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.
12 These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

The Apostle Jude wrote this letter to ‘Those who are called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ” (Jude 1:1). He wrote to encourage then Christians in their faith and to warn them about God’s judgement. In the above verses he gave various examples of how God has judged people because of their sins.
Let us remember that we too will face judgement from Jesus Christ when He returns to earth in Glory. Let us examine our lives and be ready for that day.

YUDA1:5-13
5 Tena napenda kuwakumbusha, ijapokuwa mmekwisha kujua haya yote, ya kwamba Bwana, akiisha kuwaokoa watu katika nchi ya Misri, aliwaangamiza baadaye wale wasioamini.
6 Na malaika wasioilinda enzi yao wenyewe, lakini wakayaacha makao yao yaliyowahusu, amewaweka katika vifungo vya milele chini ya giza kwa hukumu ya siku ile kuu.
7 Kama vile Sodoma na Gomora na miji iliyokuwa kando-kando, waliofuata uasherati kwa jinsi moja na hawa, wakaenda kufuata mambo ya mwili yasiyo ya asili, imewekwa kuwa dalili, wakiadhibiwa katika moto wa milele.
8 Kadhalika na hawa, katika kuota kwao, huutia mwili uchafu, hukataa kutawaliwa, na kuyatukana matukufu.
9 Lakini Mikaeli, malaika mkuu, aliposhindana na Ibilisi, na kuhojiana naye kwa ajili ya mwili wa Musa, hakuthubutu kumshitaki kwa kumlaumu, bali alisema, Bwana na akukemee.
10 Lakini watu hawa huyatukana mambo wasiyoyajua, na mambo wayatambuayo kwa asili wajiharibu kwayo kama wanyama wasio na akili.
11 Ole wao! Kwa sababu walikwenda katika njia ya Kaini, na kulifuata kosa la Balaamu pasipo kujizuia, kwa ajili ya ujira, nao wameangamia katika maasi ya Kora.
12 Watu hawa ni miamba yenye hatari katika karamu zenu za upendo walapo karamu pamoja nanyi, wakijilisha pasipo hofu; ni mawingu yasiyo na maji, yachukuliwayo na upepo; ni miti iliyopukutika, isiyo na matunda, iliyokufa mara mbili, na kung'olewa kabisa;
13 ni mawimbi ya bahari yasiyozuilika, yakitoa aibu yao wenyewe kama povu; ni nyota zipoteazo, ambao weusi wa giza ndio akiba yao waliowekewa milele.
Mtume Yuda aliandikia Wakristo kuwaonya kuhusu watu wabaya ambao wangeweza kuwaangusha kiimani. Pia anawakumbusha kuhusu watu mbalimbali wabaya ambao Mungu aliwahukumu na kuadhibiwa.
Tukumbuke kwamba wote tutahukimiwa na Yesu akirudi duniani. Tujiandae. Tuchunguze maisha na mwenendo wetu. Tumtegemea Yesu Kristo na tutubu dhambi zetu.
