IJUMAA TAHERE 10 MEI 2021, ASUBUHI
Matendo 1:9-11
9 Akiisha kusema hayo, walipokuwa wakitazama, akainuliwa, wingu likampokea kutoka machoni pao.
10 Walipokuwa wakikaza macho mbinguni, yeye alipokuwa akienda zake, tazama, watu wawili wakasimama karibu nao, wenye nguo nyeupe,
11 wakasema, Enyi watu wa Galilaya, mbona mmesimama mkitazama mbinguni? Huyu Yesu aliyechukuliwa kutoka kwenu kwenda juu mbinguni, atakuja jinsi iyo hiyo mlivyomwona akienda zake mbinguni.
Kristo amepaa katika Utukufu wake.
Baada ya Yesu kufufuka, alipaa mbinguni baada ya siku 40, akirudi kwa Baba yake. Ni baada ya kazi yake hapa duniani kama Mungu kweli na mwanadamu kweli.
Kupaa kwa Yesu kuliashiria nini?
1. Kupaa kwa Yesu kuliashiria kazi yake hapa duniani kumalizika.
2. Kupaa kwa Yesu kuliashiria kuendelea kwa kazi yake, akiwa mbinguni.
3. Kupaa kwa Yesu kuliashiria mwanzo wa sisi kufanya utume wake kama alivyotutuma.
Yesu alipaa kwenda mbinguni ambapo hukaa hadi leo. Bado anaendelea kutenda kazi yake kwa wote waaminio. Tuendelee kumwamini huyu Yesu aliyepaa, maana alikuwepo, yupo na ataendelea kuwepo, na mwisho atarudi kulichukua Kanisa lake.

Acts 1:1-11
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
Christ has ascended into His Glory.
After Jesus was resurrected, he ascended to heaven 40 days later, returning to his Father. It is after his work on earth as God truly and man truly.
What did Jesus' ascension signify?
1. Jesus' ascension marked the end of his earthly ministry.
2. Jesus' ascension marked the continuation of his ministry, while he is in heaven.
3. Jesus' ascension marked the beginning of us to do His mission as He sent us.
Jesus ascended to heaven where he remains to this day. He still continues to do his work for all believers. Let us continue to believe in this ascended Jesus, for he was, is and will be, and will eventually return to take his Church.
