FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2020 MORNING
Luke 3:15-17 New International Version (NIV)
15 The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Messiah. 16 John answered them all, “I baptize you with[b] water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with[c] the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
We confess our belief in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We persevere in resisting evil, and whenever we fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord because the heavens have been opened to us and we have seen our true home.

15 Basi, watu walipokuwa wakingoja yatakayotokea, wote wakiwaza-waza mioyoni mwao habari za Yohana, kama labda yeye ndiye Kristo,
16 Yohana alijibu akawaambia wote, Kweli mimi nawabatiza kwa maji; lakini yuaja mtu mwenye nguvu kuliko mimi, ambaye mimi sistahili kuilegeza gidamu ya viatu vyake; yeye atawabatiza kwa Roho Mtakatifu na kwa moto;
17 ambaye pepeo lake li mkononi mwake, naye atausafisha sana uwanda wake, na kuikusanya ngano ghalani mwake, bali makapi atayateketeza kwa moto usiozimika.
Tunakiri imani yetu katika Mungu Baba, Mwana na Roho Mtakatifu. Tunavumilia katika kupinga uovu; na mara tuangukapo katika dhambi, tutubu na kurejea kwa Bwana kwa sababu mbingu zimefunguliwa kwa ajili yetu, nasi tumeyaona makazi yetu halisi kule.
