FRIDAY  16TH  FEBRUARY 2018 MORNING

Luke 17:1-4 New International Version (NIV)

Sin, Faith, Duty

1 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves.

“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Footnotes:

  • Luke 17:3 The Greek word for brother or sister (adelphos) refers here to a fellow disciple, whether man or woman.

God is ready to forgive us whenever we truly repent our sins. But God also expects us to forgive other people.  May God give us grace to forgive all those who have hurt us and help us never to take revenge.

LUKA 17:1-4

Mungu yupo tayari kutusamahe kila tunapotubu dhambi zetu kutoka moyoni. Mungu atupe neema kumsamehe kila mtu ambaye ametuumiza. Tusijaribiwe kuwalipiza kisasi.
